The ERS consulting team has extensive experience with Walmart, Retail Link and the new GRS forecasting system, backed by internal documentation of roll out and department specific implementation of the process. We have assisted a significant number of clients throughout the period preceding GRS (the Inforem days), helping them manage movement to the new system via specialized reporting and careful coordination between clients and their respective Walmart Replenishment Management and Buying teams.
For each weekly or monthly interval, we have a schedule of reporting that allows us to track current GRS forecasting for our clients’ items and compare that with our own independent calculations via tracking of past and future selling potential. Even though GRS relies on a top-down approach at the Corporate Forecast level, we look into the minutia of individual items and their instock rate/forecasted sales to identify issues in order to resolve them before our clients ever hear about them from their Walmart teams.
Our reporting is inclusive of, but not limited to, all major metrics that can create a negative feedback loop in the GRS system:
- 52 Corporate forecasts versus current sales and internal ERS forecasts for future selling.
- MABD and Fill Rate Compliance evaluations.
- Monitoring new items in the initial three month period where GRS does not have a lock on your selling profile to ensure items track correctly.
And much more.
