There exists an under-developed study of POS within the ecosystem between retailers, licensees and licensors that can be pursued individually – or better still together – so everybody wins.
The closer the study of retail, the more sales and profit for all. Each perspective (retailer, vendor, licensor across licensees) would shed light on trends that can improve business going forward.
That is why we are so excited to lead a webinar on the subject, titled: What Kinds of Retail Data Should You Be Analyzing… and Why?
This session is offered by LIMA – free to its members. The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association’s mission is to foster the growth and expansion of licensing around the world, raise the level of professionalism for licensing practitioners and create greater awareness of the benefits of licensing to the business community at large.
The hour-long presentation on November 16, at 12:00 PM ET will explore the options available to track sales of items and brands/properties and how to leverage that data to build brands and increase sales and profit.
Among the issues and challenges addressed are: the nature of the data available today, what licensees and licensors should do with that data (including cross-referencing with other information such as advertising, weather, demographics, location data) to better understand what’s sales trends and how to make that analysis actionable.
