Your competitors are becoming marketing-oriented. They are looking at more Business Intelligence and becoming more strategic about branding, sourcing, pricing and pitching to the retailer.
They are developing a compelling case to combat the retail trend towards sourcing product internally. They are thinking about the pros and cons of shifting to direct import. They are running what if scenarios of retail sales to determine up front if the programs they are pitching and negotiating will be profitable.
