Founding ERS to help suppliers to retail meet the challenges of frequent buyer turnover and an increased level of financial responsibility for managing the business was gratifying in itself. Our resulting growth has also been extremely rewarding.
Our Retail Merchant Class - as a means to impart a portion of our years of experience in a high level manner - has been a great success as well; resonating with small and billion dollar companies alike. Licensors and Agents - especially those in Retail Development - have quickly signed on as well. We have had many requests to offer the class on the West Coast. So we are pleased to announce our first West Coast class on October 4th.
Topics include:
understanding a buyer's point of view, expectations and openness to vendor management, looking for opportunities of growth (statistics, retail assortment, demographics), Retail Math & Measurement standards, why tracking the business at store level matters (lost sales, opportunities, profiling, inventory productivity), assessing risk on margin guarantees and markdown negotiations.
The first West Coast class will be at the Marriott Century City/Beverly Hills, 10320 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, on October 4th from 9:00am - 12:30pm. It will cost $595 until 9/15/07, $795 after that date (Cost does not include parking).
